Biography

Bruce McNabb My name is Bruce McNabb. I was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. After graduating from Horlick High School, I attended UW Whitewater Wisconsin and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography/Geology.

Following my graduation from UW Whitewater in 1973, I moved to Madison, Wisconsin and expanded my education to include an Associate’s degree in Commercial Art from Madison Area Technical College.

While living in Madison, some friends and I went backpacking in the Grand Canyon. The experience was life-changing. I LOVED it and wanted more experiences like it, so I’ve been going out west ever since. Over the years Mother Nature has given me many memorable experiences and has taken me to unforgettable places that have deeply influenced my life.

For the past 27 years I have worked in the Point-of-Purchase display industry as a graphic-production artist/illustrator. All the while, I secretly wanted to pursue my art. This Blog is one of the first steps in fulfilling that desire.

I work in pastel, watercolor and pen & ink. I enjoy the three mediums and the different challenges each present. Doing art in three mediums keeps me energized and growing as an artist and eagerly looking forward to every new day.

I currently live in Franklin, Wisconsin with my lovely wife Mary and our two dogs.

Thank you for taking the time to view my art collection. I hope you enjoy it.
